Per this A.M.'s Spokesman, the Zag's pre & post game radio show will be manned by Jim Meehan & John Blanchette.

That is about as big an upgrade as you can possibly get. Look forward to actually hearing some informed opinions/analysis.

Will do they play by play?

We listened to them on the way over to Saturday's game before and after. As I recall, they do an hour of Game Day live, then the play by play guys (Hudson and co) do a pre-game show, then the game, and the post game, then the game day live again. It's about 5 hours.

They are much better (IMO) then the guys who did GDL the last few years--more thoughtful analysis and less screaming.

I only caught a little of them before the EOU game but they were fantastic. Might want to tweet some love and email a hint to Roth to up help him want to the ante by making another change from Heister. #SamAdamsplaybyplay might be nice to get trending...

I have known John Blanchette since my days on the GU staff way back in the 80's...
Awesome guy... really bright, tremendous sense of humor, and to this day,
my favorite scribe to read. Major Upgrade for the pre-game show!
