We seem to do this every year so we might as well get it started.

My prediction for the year is 31-6. (Not counting the exhibition game). I hope I'm wrong about the number of games more than I am about the record.

I'm going with 5 losses but a team that is significantly better at the end of the league season than to start the year. This isn't taking into account the NCAA's...just OOC and league.

I think we'll drop 4 or 5 but we'll be the 3 or 4 seed in the tournament that no 1 seed wants to play.

We will lose just enough games for the committee to justify not sending us to Spokane.

9 losses

Really ? Well I have to admit , I don't have a clue. I can't predict the guard play and that is where it all starts.

Gotta get Karno healthy, still very limited. Shortness of breath but coming along slowly.

Guards still need to figure things out. Turnovers prone & finding how to play w/Big 3 in game and to man the wing without...

I feel we lose our opener to underrated PITT, sweep the Pac-12 schools, drop 1 game in Bahamas, lose to Pepperdine & BYU in conference away games.

Thus, predicting (4), maybe 5 losses.

Pitt has big guards and James Robinson is a senior and was a Cousy finalist last year....

Someone should attach a poll to this thread.

I think they only have 2 losses fwiw.

2 losses. One non-conference loss, and the other in the NCAA Tournament in the finals.

I'm not big on predicting W-L records, not gonna try. I'm a bit surprised at some of the games that various posters are projecting as losses. I'll admit I don't know much about Pitt's roster, but they've been fairly mediocre since they joined the ACC. I've been assuming they are gonna be a middle of the pack school from a major conference that Gonzaga usually feasts on, especially early in the season. Texas...they have a good PG and lots of big bodies, but that group of players has yet to put things together the last 2-3 years. Obviously a different coach, could get a different result, but real early in the year for adapting to a totally different system/coaching style. We'll see. They might go in the losers bracket of the Atlantis tourney against an A&M team that is getting a decent bit of hype.

I'll go way out on a limb. We won't see our tenth loss until the spring of 2018.

Wonder if KenPom's projections would have been shaken nearly so much as those on this thread, apparently due to the reports of losing a scrimmage against a quality team. Mine have not. Congrats to the victors, but scrimmages are intended to be learning experiences and snapshots of where increased focus is needed. I suspect both teams gained here. I remain projecting a maximum of three pre-dance losses, because, well, things happen. But I believe and hope the actual record will be better, which would make it the all-time best.

You can figure out how far I have them going by counting the total games.
