Seattle area Zags are all invited to head down to the Georgetown neighborhood for the 3 on 3 tournament named for Seattle legend Jim Marsh. You'll be excited to know that "The Guys from Dawgman" will broadcast their weekly KJR radio show Saturday morning (9a - 11a) from the site.

Jim Marsh was instrumental in helping Hoopfest get started, and Seattle now has it's own event (1st Annual) to celebrate our City's Basketball Heritage. Proceeds from the event benefit Mentoring Works Washington and the NW Parkinson's Foundation. Major sponsors include the SonicsArena group (Chris Hansen) and Connie and Steve Ballmer.

BTW I snapped this pic 2 nights ago of Spencer Hawes (older brother of a recent GU grad) and Jim Marsh shortly after Spencer threw out the first pitch. The M's held a pre game ceremony honoring Jim.

As a Committee Member for this event (along with Wally Walker, Steve Kelly, Mike Gastineau and others) I hope to see you guys there.

Oh ... and here's a 15 second invitation from Gary Payton, Shawn Kemp and Isaiah Thomas. They have a "little" more street cred than me ....
