Not what your first thought might have been, I'd guess, but I'm pretty sure you will nonetheless conclude it's a good deal for Matt. And another thing: it's a great story about how these guys kick around, and get kicked around, trying to make the Bigs.

Great article, and sounds like some pretty good money. Good for him.

The NBA D-League expansion draft was held today and here's whose rights the Long Island Nets acquired by round: 1 Gary Forbes, 2 Carrick Felix, 3 Jamaal Franklin, 4 Akil Mitchell, 5 Peyton Siva, 6 Alex Kirk, 7 Austin Freeman, 8 Kendall Gray, 9 Lazar Heyward, 10 Dwyane Poole Jr., 11 Matt Bouldin, 12 Lewis Jackson.

Not quite sure what this means.

Sounds like he has to choose whether to default on the $200,000+ from Korea for the $30,000 of the D-League or not!

No NBDL for Matt. His agent is still sorting through overseas options, including South Korea. BTW, the 6'5" and under imports in Korea make 20k a month, which works out to something quite a bit less than 200k for the season. Still really good overseas money though. Further BTW, Matt is in the best shape of his life, and fully healthy for the first time in quite a while. Expect a really big season from him this year.
