Banners don't hoist themselves.

You are right. It requires a couple of maintenance men who are not afraid of heights and either a bucket hoist or one of those Little Giant ladder systems.

Just have Karnowski and Edwards do it.

We've got a crack team of engineers working on it.

The women were one Laura Stockton away from an Elite Eight themselves. Argh.

That was a tough game to lose after being up as much as they were...seems like the last ten minutes they were playing not to lose...your thoughts ...

Staff should have halted momentum with a time out or two. Players have to make the plays but IMO, the staff didn't do the players any favors. New staff, hope they learned something.

Didn't have a PG who could handle the press and Vols simply overwhelmed the GU PGs. Bummer.

Still bothers me. I don't follow the women much, but that game hurt as much as any game I've watched. Yes, they could not handle the press, but they were also playing so tentative, looking at the clock, hoping it would run themselves. Opponent felt their fear and gained confidence each time down.

Didn't Fortier earn a coach of the year award? After beating a pair of higher seeds like the mens Zag teams of old (including #3 seed Oregon State in Oregon) before falling to #2 seed Tennessee?

Thought the Lady Zags had a pretty solid year under the new coach.

She did indeed. And if you watched the game vs. the Vols, she appeared to have no strategy to stop the skid. She'll learn from it and the Lady Zags are in good hands going forward. I simply disagree with putting all of the blame on the point guard.

Agree.....Not all on the point guard or the blaming all on the coach .......

Maybe they were playing against one of the top teams in the country and a hall of fame coach...... and the years of training kicked in for the other team.

As someone who also watched the game it appeared the more poised team ground it out and won.

Just my .02

In this one respect it reminded me a bit of the guard play in our Dec game at AU, and the elite 8 game with Duke.

While they have the ladder out, they might as well hang up the retired number of Courtney Vander Sloot. It's kind of a head scratcher that it hasn't already been done.

I'll take Jessie Loera's ball handling any day over Laura Stockton's.

Aren't they both coming in to play for the Zags ---so you don't need to pick one--you can have them both.

Stockton was the Seattle Times Washington state player of the year and Loera was on the Seattle Times All State 2nd team ----couple of good players to have as Zags.

Stockton (Sr) is two time defending state champion and Loeras (Jr) team made it to the semifinals.

seems to me they handled the press, pressure and attack of the VOLs for about 3/4 of the game...only the last 1/4 did they falter and still had opportunities to get a huge win
