Good news for the big fella!

Move it when folks have had a chance to see it.

Wow. Nice for Rob.

He has a lot of gifts, but being someone that everyone likes, can't hurt.

Had a source close to the situation that said this wasn't going to happen, so VERY pleasantly surprised.

Another Zag continuing to earn a paycheck equals more recruits looking our way.
And, oh yeah, congratulations Rob!

Congratulations, Rob! This is awesome news. I hope to see you in CdA for the Fourth of July. as you have done previously.

Sticking around the tail end of an NBA roster necessitates that you are a great teammate, work hard, and can perform (ie, play tough defense and rebound for a big) when called upon. Rob fits the bill perfectly, so did Ronny. This is very well deserved for a great person who put in the effort to become a great player. Congrats, Rob!

Option for about $980k, with his caphold being $500k, so not much impact to all the free agency commotion. Lakers are striking out left and right on big men (LA, Chandler, Monroe, the list goes on). Right now, they have a handful of PFs but no real true centers under contract. They may scramble to re-sign Ed Davis, perhaps Jordan Hill at a discounted rate from last season, or go for second/third tier big men in free agency. This bodes well for Rob thus far, not so good for my Lakers.

Was that source the same person that told Mr. Perry that Wiltjer was gone to the draft FOR SURE? :lmao:

Not that is solves their issues, but when is Randle supposed to be back? Dude has Boogie Lite written all over him.

Should be back for summer league. Has lost about 20lbs and improved his jumper from reports. He is a pure PF though, he can't bang with centers. As many speculated, lakers drafted Russell with hopes of signing a big man in free agency, thus passing on okafor. Just like everyone on here does with our 4s, Laker fans want Randle to play SF

Ed Davis just signed with Blazers, C is getting more bare for Lake Show.
