Went up this morning on ESPN Insider.

@jeffborzello

Despite adding two transfers, 2016 is a crucial recruiting cycle for Gonzaga. Who are the Zags' biggest targets?

If someone could just summarize, that would be nice.

Scholarship chart

Seniors (4): Przemek Karnowski, Kyle Wiltjer, Eric McClellan, Kyle Dranginis

Juniors (2): Nigel Williams-Goss (redshirt), Johnathan Williams III (redshirt)

Sophomores (3): Domantas Sabonis, Silas Melson, Ryan Edwards

Freshmen (2): Josh Perkins, Bryan Alberts

Possible early entry losses after next season: Domantas Sabonis

Available scholarships for 2016: Six or Seven

Committed prospects for 2016 and beyond: BF-C Zach Collins (No. 52 ESPN, Team Fast Elite) PG Jesse Wade (for 2017)

Biggest needs for 2016-17: bigs are the priority (will likely lose entire frontline)

Must-haves: None specifically

Targets: C Udoka Azubuike (No. 10, Georgia Stars), G Frank Jackson (No. 30, Utah Prospects), PG Jordan Ford (Oakland Soldiers), SG Jonah Mathews (Cal Supreme), PG Lamar Peters (New Orleans Elite), SG Zach Norvell (Mac Irvin Fire), SF Brendan Bailey (Dream Vision), G Kevin Huerter (Albany City Rocks), SG Bryce Peters (Prodigy Elite), SG Chris Barnes (Team Georgia Elite), SG Brandon Cyrus (CIA Bounce), SG Connor Harding (Utah Prospects), C Killian Tillie (France), PF Robinson Idehen (Oakland Soldiers), PF Maciej Bender

Summer scenario

Mark Few will lose Karnowski, Wiltjer and possibly Sabonis, so the key here is adding a couple more big men. The Zags added two transfers who will move into the starting lineup a year from now -- Williams-Goss and Williams. But this remains a significant recruiting class for Gonzaga, and there are no shortage of targets with so many scholarships to fill. The Zags have been successful going overseas, and expect that to continue with this class.

I heard Mussini suffered an ankle injury and will be reevaluated in 3 weeks (so can't be TOO bad). Anyone know when we might hear something on his decision?

(GU Recruiting) Targets (for the Summer, 2015): C Udoka Azubuike (No. 10, Georgia Stars), G Frank Jackson (No. 30, Utah Prospects), PG Jordan Ford (Oakland Soldiers), SG Jonah Mathews (Cal Supreme), PG Lamar Peters (New Orleans Elite), SG Zach Norvell (Mac Irvin Fire), SF Brendan Bailey (Dream Vision), G Kevin Huerter (Albany City Rocks), SG Bryce Peters (Prodigy Elite), SG Chris Barnes (Team Georgia Elite), SG Brandon Cyrus (CIA Bounce), SG Connor Harding (Utah Prospects), C Killian Tillie (France), PF Robinson Idehen (Oakland Soldiers), PF Maciej Bender

The Sacramento Bee reports that a recent recruiting target for GU -- 6' PG Jordan Ford of Folsom, California -- has verballed to St. Marys:

"The Beeís two-time basketball Player of the Year from Folsom High School said Monday he has selected Saint Maryís as his scholarship destination. Ford, a 6-foot play-making senior guard, said he liked everything about Saint Maryís, including its strong academic and basketball tradition, the coaches and the relatively short distance to Moraga so family and friends can watch him play. ďIím a Gael,Ē Ford said. ďIím relieved, Iím happy, Iím excited. "

Ford further explained why he considers St. Marys "great": "Itís a great school, in the West Coast Conference, with other great schools like Gonzaga. I think itís a great fit.Ē"

It appears Ford's other offers came from Oregon and UC Santa Barbara.
