Graduate transfer to Idaho. A long and winding road for a good kid who wants to play. GU to North Idaho to USD and now to UI. Hope it all works out for him.

Wondered if he would wind up back @ GU but more PT to be had at Idaho.

Always liked Chris and his story. Plus, I could never get out of my head how he and his team schooled GBJ in the state playoffs.

Why did he leave USD?

Just guessing but now having Grier gone, plus the loss of the seniors, he wasn't particularly in the mood to use his last year of eligibility as canon fodder for a rebuilding year?

Just a guess.

I ran into Chris at a restaurant before he transferred. Talked to him for just a minute, not about basketball at all, but told him that his father was one of the best professors I ever had and remember him still to this day. Chris seemed to appreciate that more than me telling him his play reminded e of Michael Jordan.

Why did he leave USD?

Probably the weather.

Not only the weather, but perhaps better tacos in Idaho?

Dixie, those possibilities all seem reasonable. I know he wants to play, but man, it would be such a ride just practicing with the Zags and traveling with them all over the country and playing in the tournament every year. Each man has to choose his own path, and perhaps he also just has a bit of a wanderlust and wants to take advantage of the opportunities while he can. Not all who wander are lost, or some such...
