COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Mullins guard Jalek Felton won MVP honors and was on the winning squad at the USA Basketball 3x3 U18 national tournament.

Felton and the rest of the Stars squad went 8-0 in the two-day tournament, which wrapped up Sunday. By winning the championship, The Stars will represent USA Basketball at the FIBA 3x3 World Championship on June 4-7 in Debreceen, Hungary.

“That was my whole goal coming out here — making my team better,” Felton said in a release. "I just wanted to win.”

Felton, a sophomore, was joined on the team by Zach Collins of Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas), Payton Pritchard of West Linn (Oregon) and PJ Washington of Findlay College Prep (Texas).

The Stars defeated the Hoopla Wildcats 21-13 in the semifinals before downing the Titans 21-12 in the championship game. Games were either played to 21 or whichever team was leading after a 10-minute time limit.

Felton and his teammates will report back to the US Olympic training center May 29 for a four-day mini camp before leaving for the championships.

Zach spending lots of time with his 3v3 teammate Payton Pritchard....perhaps he can do some recruiting between games or, better yet, via how they play together at the World 3v3 Championships!
