With 3 victories this year, Gonzaga's all-time NCAA tournament win total reaches 22.

That's more than any other school in the WCC (USF has 21, BYU has 15)

It's also more than Oregon, Oregon State, Washington, Washington State, Arizona State, California, USC, and Colorado.

Stanford has 1 more win at 23. Utah has 37. UCLA has 99. Arizona has 54. The only other school in the West with more than GU is UNLV at 33.

Some other schools that GU has more wins than: Alabama (18), Auburn (12), Baylor (11), Creighton (12), DePaul (15--they were once a powerhouse), Florida State (15), Georgia (5), Iowa State (16), Memphis (20), Mississippi (4), Mississippi State (11), Minnesota (15), Missouri (10), St. Joes (18), St. Louis (6), Tennessee (19), Vanderbilt (10). GU is only 3 behind Virginia (25).

Wait...there's no way Missouri has that few. Just in my lifetime, Mizzou has more than 10.

Typo Mizzou. It's 19, not 10.

Thank you for taking the time to put this together. Where does Gonzaga rank with March Madness victories? ( I would guess UCLA is #1.)

Kentucky has 120 wins with this year's 4 victories.

Back in the 60's there were only 24 teams in the tournament and 8 of those teams had byes into the sweet 16. And...the losers of the 4 regional semi-finals played a consolation game AND the losers in the final 4 played a consolation game for 3rd place. So, some of those UCLA championship teams only played 3 games to win the NCAA tournament.

Ah, DePaul, a cautionary tale. And to a lesser extent, St. Joe's. NCAA success is not easy nor a birthright.

Going into this year's tournament, I believe, it was Boston College. The Eagles had played in 41 NCAA tournament games and had a record of
22 wins and 19 losses.

With Angelo's update of Gonzaga'a record above, the Zags have now played in 40 NCAA tournament games and now have a record of 22 wins and 18
losses.

But it looks like Xavier with 2 NCAA tournament wins this year now has a record of 23 wins and 25 losses. So Xavier has the distinction this year.
