to 9th, per KenPom:

1. Big 12
2. ACC
3. Big East
4. Big 10
5. SEC
6. Pac 12
7. A-10
8. MVC (big climbers late)
9. WCC
10. AAC

I would check this weekly; WCC was 7th as of 3-13. Disappointed they couldn't hold on.

1. GU 7
2. BYU 35
3. SMC 77
4. USD 114
5. PEP 137
6. UP 149
7. USF 157
8. SCU 210
9. PAC 256
10. LMU 291

WCC was 9th last year as well, but LMU brought up the rear at 185. Need to get everyone North of 200; I believe SCU will make it (hopefully KK schedules a little tougher), but Pacific & LMU are continuing to remake their rosters so don't think it will happen in '15-'16.

SMC needs to pick up the slack. The bottom of the conference will always bring it down, but if SMC, GU, and BYU all consistently had top 40 RPI rankings it would go a long way to quelling the WCC affiliation chatter.

Easier said than done, but scheduling some decent OOC opponents would sure be a nice start.

0-4 in the post season for all WCC schools not named Gonzaga. Couldn't have "helped" the KenPom.

Yes, SMC is normally at least around 50, if not higher.

I worry about next year. USD losing its top players. Portland losing theirs and I have no idea how SMC can stay within 50 of where they were this year.

We need big wins OOC.
