View Full Version : OT: Grieving with Coach Carter's help

I was pretty bummed about the loss; the loss of opportunity to watch Kevin, Gary, and Byron.

I tried having a bite to eat, laying down for a few minutes, and even ventured to Twitter to express my gratitude to the players. This has been an incredible season, and the last four years with Kevin and Gary have been some of the most entertaining basketball I've ever gotten to enjoy. I could say it was inspiring to watch without overstating it.

So I thought I'd cheer myself up by watching a great basketball movie. I'm half-way through "Coach Carter" and already it's paying dividends. If you're still grieving, give it a shot.

Honestly I don't feel horrible. I wish they were playing in a better arena, so if I draw any ire it's that is about it. I'm glad it wasn't a blowout. We definitely took out a ton of demons and I loved watching the team work. All in all, a great year. I was going to buy an Elite 8 T shirt but somehow 30 bucks for a cotton T with a logo is highway robbery.
