The most underseeded game in history.

Should be a good one, and we got next. :)

I don't see how 'Ville beats Michigan State in this one. State has been playing so tough, they need to "out-tough" people b/c I don't think they have quite the talent.

Lotta athletes not many if any pros. Great great coaches.

Spanarkel is yet another Dookie on the mic. Really, someone should look into this. It makes no sense that one college should be so disproportionately represented as analysts on all platforms of CBB. Far as I know, they don't even have a J school. Like Syracuse and USC.

I don't believe either team deserved a higher seed. Neither had what would be called a GREAT year. Yes. Both have great coaches but the committee doesn't use that as a barometer for measuring who gets what seed. I don't think that either of these teams are the best teams that these coaches have had, and I think Gonzaga can beat them both if we get the chance.

Agree the Dookie bias kills me!

Louisville is tough to prepare for on short notice but Izzo is one of the coaches that can do it.

While I agree that neither had a "great year" (MSU gets beat at home by Tex Southern), but it seems to me that a lot of seeding should be based upon momentum and who truly should beat the team on the other line. In that respect, I think both teams were undeseeded. Louisville not much, not a 2, maybe a 3, Michigan State was definitely playing at the level of a four, at least, by the end of the year.

They had Wisconsin beat. One out of bounds call goes the right way (if it was reviewable) and Michigan State has the ball, up 2, with a handful of seconds left to play.

?

I like two strong teams driving up and down the court. Better than watching UVA play (not saying much).

True, not a lot of ball movement and cutting, but still.

Not bad IMO, I get what you're saying, though.

Msu much better offensively, but Louisville is really speeding them up. If msu can figure out how to deal with the pressure they will win.

Louisville fans will be less likely to sell their tickets to Kentucky fans if they get bounced in the National-Semi. Louisville may neutralize home court adv for Kentucky in INDY. Kentucky fans won't be rooting for Louisville either. These teams hate each other.

'Ville playing better than I thought they would.

It will make me ill if Louisville makes the FF in an off year for them.

Izzo with the adjustments, everything towards the basket now, and his team is responding. so what does Pitino do to counter?

For GU or DOOK playing the winner of this game will be far easier than today's foe.

I said the same thing to the wife about 2 minutes before the announcers clued in (or it was pumped into their ear). Could be a big play.

Poor free throw shooting down the stretch cost ND and the Lady Zags their games yesterday. May cost State today...

If we win today, I'd rather play Louisville than Michigan State for the simple fact that Michigan State is much more likely IMO to hit the kinds of shots that the Zags naturally tend to give up with the way we're playing defense this year.

No Phi Beta Kappas out here.

Had the lady Zags been able to shoot 50% from the line down the stretch, they'd be in the E8 right now.

I'll bet they are absolutely sick and heartbroken right now. Had a 2 seed on the ropes. Worse than UCLA

It's tough. I like Izzo, so I want him to win. On the other hand, if we win today, I don't want Few to have to play his friend.

like ND last night, the answers for MSU have been in attacking the paint and not settling. so of course they jack one up but Dawson was not boxed out!

Entertaining game. Neither are great teams, but play hard. Izzo takes a team without elite talent to the Final 4. Again. Sparty was better last year but didn't make it as far.

Trice had a great 2nd half, passed up numerous early 3s that he was jacking in the first half and led the execution on Izzo's game plan to attack the paint on every possession
