I thought I saw near the end of the Louisville-NC State game he was 11-1 in this round. Make that 12-1 now. Never bet against Pitino in the Tourney (or Izzo).

The guy is as good of a tournament coach as there is. He makes something out of nothing. This team has ZERO business being in the elite 8. It's not a very talented team. At least by Louisville standards.

Yup. These guys (Pitino & Izzo) are unreal.

Agreed, and what a battle it will be. Hope Izzo takes them out though.

Ricky the best. Izzo a close second.

Other way around, integrity counts for something!

Zero business winning their opening game with the poor officiating to end the UC-Irvine game...

Also 5 Elite 8's in the last 7 seasons for Louisville. I didn't realize they were making deep runs that often.

Meanwhile Sparty not looking very good against OU, Izzo's boys are gonna have to pick it up in the 2nd half.

The Fighting Izzos pull it out down the stretch. Pitino vs. Izzo, think we've seen that match up a couple times. Only region that didn't go pretty much chalk (Notre Dame as a #3 seed is barely a deviation, the other two are #1 vs #2 seeds). Not a big surprise though with these two coaches.

Disagree. Izzo is the GOAT tourny coach. Does more with less talent.

From Izzo's presser

At our place, again, [making] the Tournament isn't the deal anymore.

It's just been enjoyable. This has been the closest knit team I have, and it's been maybe a little less talented one that we've had, and we've had that albatross on our back on the free-throw shooting. We've kind of dealt with it, you know, and we have not hid from it. We've dealt with it. So one more victory would be one of the sweeter moments in my career because I think it would teach you that you can do it a lot of different ways.

From Pitino's Presser:

His opening statement was very impressive storytelling. . .
