View Full Version : Why only one exhibition game this year?

GU is only scheduled to play D-2 Empria State from Kansas on Nov. 7. Unless the NCAA changed things, I believe D-I schools like GU get to schedule 2 exhibitions against D-2, D-3 or NAIA schools. Why only one this year? It is an occasion for a lot of season ticket holders to loan their tickets to their brother-in law who does not have them. Plus, it is always good to get your team warmed up for the real games.

I still wonder why GU does not use the exhibition privelege to schedule Whitworth, or somebody from the Northwest instead of some school in Kansas with no local interest.

We played LCSC a couple years ago, and Warner Pacific (Oregon) last year. Perhaps Whitworth doesn't want to play us.

We have 3 "real" games bunched together before going to Alaska. Add two exhibition games and we have 5 games. That's a bit much, imo.

was the mascot of the team UW was supposed to play a bulldog by chance? If it was, the may have made a good move.
