I want to give them a beat down in the final, sweet sweet revenge. They better take care of business against Portland.

I agree but it's hard for me to root against Portland. I live there and like their team. But intellectually, a finals vs BYU is better all around.

Thread titled: "Pangos and Wiltjers still in game with 2 minutes left and 15 point lead?"

Again, this is on the BYU board being discussed.

I thought this was unfortunate as well, especially Wiltjer with hurt shoulder & hip.

Simply unnecessary and can hurt momentum or their bodies or their confidence.

Why not play the young guys and keep the bench/team energized?!?!

They are playing with a bit more razzamatazz (yah, I used it) - I say keep doing what was working. Some other guys came in at the end.

35+ years of accumulated enmity toward BYU...can't do it. They're going to have to beat Portland without any help from me. :lmao:

This!

While I want revenge with the rest of 'em, Portland > BYU in my mind.

BYU isn't WCC 'til they stop looking/talking about leaving every few mins.

I think I'll pop open a mini-bottle of Zonin Prosecco. Still have a couple more in the fridge for tomorrow.

I'm with the majority (so far) on this one. I couldn't care less about beating BYU, especially if it means they win another game. Won't ever root for that team.

I am right there with you. No way would I root for BYU. Would not have cared but they have butthead fans. Very rude.

Wesley disagrees with you all..

Gonzaga's Byron Wesley said the Zags are pulling for BYU in second semifinal "so we can redeem ourselves."

I'm not rooting for BYU, per se, yet their RPI is currently 44.

If we play, and win, it only helps our Tourney profile.

The opportunity to add another Top-50 win is terrific.

We lost an Top-50 win when UCLA dropped to 51. Ouch.

Portland playing zone. BYU knocking down 3s - let's see how this works....

Portland is my favorite team in the league aside from the Zags. But it's far better for the league if BYU wins tonight and arguably tomorrow night as well. No, I'm not trying to start a fight or be a negative Nancy. But I seriously think that BYU can cause some damage in the tournament. And that's good for us and the league. Don't forget that their only experienced big to start the year, Austin, went down to injury. None of the talking heads are talking about the fact that their bigs are finally starting to contribute to what is easily one of the best group of guards in the country.
As for what my Zags pride has to say, it says let's stomp a mudhole in those kittens tomorrow.

I think BYU might have lucked out with SMC losing to Portland. UP is just awful. Hard to watch.

Kaufusi is tearing it up! Playing with confidence. Only a freshman, could make a Samhan kind of jump.

I thought he made HUGE impact in Spokane. Shut down Sabonis and Wiltjer with muscle defense.

BYU still up 20.

Not seeing the fouls we did in our game.

Collingsworth on track for his 6th triple double. Currently has 10 rebs, 8 assists, 7 pts.

Impressive and silly at the same time.

I believe 6th would be the all-time NCAA record, as 5 is tied.

What sucks is that it takes another decent win from BYU.

Through all years there is Shaq with 6 and someone else is tied with Shaq. He already owns most career triple dubs in one season right? Or is that what you're saying?

Collinsworth now has tied for CAREER triple doubles and outright owns the single season record for it.
