The sports bookies (Vegas) set the initial odds and after that the betting public moves the dial.
The fact the pro's feel we're as likely as Duke to win it all is good enough for me!
Zag4life did you get the 55-1 before Wesley and Sabonis walked onto Campus?
I'm pulling for ya!

I correct myself. And it was 60-1 actually. Yes it was actually the day that the news broke Wesley would be attending. I figured good backcourt with veterans, a better Karno, and Wiltjer plus a transfer averaging 17+ a game at USC and a good recruiting class.. the team would be dynamite. 30k would be nice

About $30,000 to me if they take it. LETS GO ZAGS!!Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect.

zagsfanforlife - Zags make the final. Would you hedge your bet with some size moneyline bet on their opponent or let it ride? Good luck to you!

The betting folks must have missed out on the highly educational thread on our board "worst 18 point win ever"--that says they should not be betting anything on our Zags.
I wish I would have gotten your odds zagsfanforlife.....would make the dance that much more interesting.
Go Zags

I understand your point about futures betting and agree but some might say betting on Duke instead of Gonzaga is a bet against Gonzaga and everyone else.

The only times I ever laid money on a sportsbook wager involving the Zags, I was doing it on behalf of others (on this board) who backed their convictions regarding the spread with cold hard cash. In both cases, they were right and I was happy for them. Me ? I save my gambling dollars for NCAA pools, the Triple Crown races, and the Breeders' Cup. Point spread wagers are out of my comfort zone, for the most part.Last edited by RenoZag; 02-05-2015, 05:47 AM.The GUB Resource Library: Links to: Stats, Blogs, Brackets, & More. . .
