I know these are silly but they're fun to picture in the mind's eye. I love this bracket. WVA, AZ?? Perfect.

Fair enough.

You make a good point. I would take a mid-upper tier BCS conference school over a No. Iowa any day of the week. Besides, our 4-5 seed game will almost assuredly include Wichita State. Too bubalicious cute for the NCAA to pass up the opportunity.

i wouldn't mind seeing the shockers in a sweet sixteen game...zags have played well in payback games this year and wsu isn't quite the same team without early.

I'm not falling in love with the seed line or the opponents - I fully expect GU to play in Seattle but one loss between now and Selection Sunday would put them on the 2 or 3 line.

AZ could easily jump to that #1 line, and I wouldn't be offended at all. I hope for that rematch in the E8...

I saw UNI for the first time Sat. Really impressive; one of the best coached teams I've seen. They are the real deal, and Tuttle and Washpun are studs. That said, GU would just have their way with that team in the post. Tuttle is the biggest significant contributor at 6'8.

I've been a little surprised Shem hasn't been called for more fouls when he turns & clears space with his elbow. I could swear that there have been times recently where he has literally launched guys airbourne.

I've definitely thought the same. Refs didn't give him any benefit of the doubt his first 2 years, now they're letting him play.

LOL. Watching Shem in person is a delight. He jaws amicably with anybody. Saturday he and Shaq Goodwin (seems to be a truly good guy) were like the best of laughing buddies. And several interactions with dwarf ref Tommy Nunez (Jr.) during timeouts were really funny.
