Looking forward to watching the Duke - Notre Dame match-up. Might tune in to Washington - Stanford game on ESPNU at 8 pm too.

Duke's zone D that was so effective against Louisville isn't going to work against Notre Dame (because the 'Ville simply couldn't hit anything from the perimeter, and ND has a bunch of shooters). They'll probably have to go back to the man to man that both NC State and Miami totally carved up. Will be interesting to see what happens.

Kennedy was putting on a show for SMU when I was watching earlier, but I tuned out (8-8 from the floor at that point). DeMarcus Cousins younger brother plays for USF. Who knew?

Interesting about SMU, they put up a graffic with their RPI and SOS for this year vs. last year. Huge improvement this season, SOS in particular probably kept them out of the Tourney. However last year they were 4-5 against RPI Top 50 teams, and this year they are 0-4 so far. So is that really a better resume? Much better SOS, but they haven't actually beaten anyone good this year unlike last year. Hmm.....

Dickie V very conflicted tonight. His daughters went to ND but they are playing Duke.

Also said "I got the Zags going to the final four this year. Kyle Wiltjer something something something can score...."

Down go the Dukies! They are 4-3 in the ACC and have a very good chance of losing their next game coming up on the road at Virginia. I think all talk about them as a potential #1 seed needs to be put on hold until they can get their conference record somewhere north of .500. I love it!

We need all these teams to just put some hurts on each other and let parity reign throughout the land (outside Kentucky) so that no one really has that good an argument against us no matter what our record is.

Solid comparison. Grant is a better passer is the main difference between the two.

Duke looked very beatable to me.

I think they're ripe right now. SJU gave them a big run, they let ND come from WAY back, through sheer will they will likely keep UVA close, but - they look very beatable to me.

Arizona had built their lead to 18 early in the 2nd half. Ducks made a run to cut it to 10. It was ALLLLLL Arizona after that, final score 90-56. Cats shot 59% from the floor, 40% from 3 and 82% from the FT line. They're pretty good when they shoot well. All 5 starters in double figures, leading scorer was off the bench with 16 and another bench guy had 9. Nice balance.

Washington loses by ten. It was never really even that close the entire second half. Goss for UW is a very good player but he padded his stats against Stsnford's reserves. What really gets me is how announces always fawn over Romar. He has underachieved at UW for the last 5 years yet they say what a great coach he is. I think the Husky fanbase has a better idea of what kind of coach he is.

The Huskies remind me of a bad NBA team. No focus, no "plan," a lot of selfishness, bitter looks between players, and all kinds of talent going all kinds of directions. Just awful. Hard to watch.

That Stanford big is tough.

I didn't realize that UW kicked their big man Upshaw off the team just before Stanford. They are gonna struggle.

I didn't realize that UW kicked their big man Upshaw off the team just before Stanford. They are gonna struggle.

One thing is crystal clear and that is Nigel Williams-Goss chose the wrong school to go to with his talent. His NBA stock is falling faster than a Malaysian airplane. The basketball IQ is a generous 4 out of 10 and his deficiencies are glaring red flags. Sure he has athletic ability but he hasn't learned how to play the game of basketball and he can be extremely selfish on the court. He turns the ball over on average 4 times per game (Stanford it was 6).

With that said I wouldn't be surprised if they ran the table the rest of the way with losses. You know a team has formally lost it when you can see the coach on TV tell his assistant coach "I've never seen anything like this before. We are terrible." I feel bad for Donovan Dorsey because here is a kid who should have redshirted this year. He is clearly unhappy at UW and I definitely see him transferring at the end of the year plus to add insult to injury he is going through a major shooting slump. The last three games through 53 minutes of play he has only scored 6 points (2 threes against Colorado) going 2 for 12.

IF Romar survives and that is looking more tenuous each game going forward next year's recruiting class is not going to help him. Heavy on guards but no bigs coming in or are on the team for next year either. The Washington State sweep won't be pretty. Any chance the Zags can kill that home & home series with them now because I'm worried they are going to screw up our RPI rating the next couple of years even with the incoming class.

Reminds me of Oladipo.

Considering they were teammates in H.S., that makes a lot of sense. This was the second game in a row that Grant played other H.S. teammates: Cook from Duke (the guy he blocked to end the game) and Anya from NCST. About 4 other players on that team played D-1 as well (including his brother).

Unreal collection of talent at Dematha.
