Very good stuff.

IT's not just the winning, some of us here were there before the winning. She seems to sense that.

Wonderful. Thanks for posting.

Ironically, I was asked by two different people (here in Missouri) this past week about WHY I was such a zags fan. It's always SO tough to answer, because you can't really understand it unless you EXPERIENCE it, and you experience the family atmosphere of a zags game and the players/coaches, etc. You can't really put it into words.

I think you just did explain it, quite well.

Great piece by "Meg." I like her style... a lot. Love is the right way to sum it up too. <3

As for her feeling that this year is different, I couldn't agree more. To quote one of our generation's greatest fake heroes, Bruce Wayne said it best: "Sometimes people deserve more. Sometimes people deserve to have their faith rewarded."

This year is our reward. I feel it, just as Meg does. Go Bulldogs!!

"But there comes a point when you realize that being a fan and caring so much isn’t really a choice..."

I know what you mean. Great stuff, Meg.

Reminds me of the Dickau quote "Great place, with great people." Or is that "special place, with special people" ?
