Another slow start but the afterburners kicked in and the game was decided half-way through the second half.

Which Zag gets the player of the game against the Dons tonight ?

Zags outrebounded the Dons 39 - 26

Wiltjer really got things rolling in the first half. Pangos and Karnowski with big games as well. Could really pick any of them, but I'm going with Pangos. Knocking down a bunch of 3's, nice passing, finding scoring opportunities for other players. Darn good PG!

Mr Pangos leads us past a half spirited effort by the Dons.

Went with Pangos, the engine that runs the team.

Another balanced attack and I went with Pangos but it could have been Karno.

KP for me. Great to watch him conducting the Zags orchestra

He is much better this year at feeding the post, at least 2-3 extra assists if the post players had made the last play....

Because I could give it to Pangos just about any night.

I voted for SM, just because.

Went with Pangos...

But Sabonis was a BEAST on the glass in the second half. Just what the team needs from him.

went with PK as his new aggressiveness is great. Looks like they might use him at point with all his new dribbling skills.

I went with Pangos because he could have stopped shooting after his 3rd straight miss from 3, but he kept firing away. It's a little thing, but if he lost his confidence in his shot AT HOME, it could have meant a long second half of the season. But he's a senior and understood that he's at home and they'll eventually drop.

I voted for Melson. Great game for the kid. Nice seeing him hit those 3 pointers as Bell was certainly off. Also Melson's defense tonight was once more really solid on USF's very good Freshman point-guard.

Go Zags!!!

Sabonis. Thought he showed more poise tonight. Wasn't giving the refs 'that look' when he didn't get the calls. Glad he is getting lots of minutes. We'll need him versus the WCC squads that have beef. . .Pepperdine comes to mind. . .

01-08-2015, 09:07 PM
I'm going with Pangos, not only for this game but also for the previous three games of WCC play ...

01-08-2015, 09:27 PM
I voted for SM, just because.

He had a good game. His confidence is a big asset and his defense is getting better as he adjusts to the college game.

Sabonis had a good night as well as Shem.

I voted for Pangos.

KP for a complete game. Good to see him find his shot.

Went with KP. Liked what I saw from Sabonis, Melson and Draino. Mt. K looked a bit off to me - at times anyway. USF's play seemed to perplex the Zags last night. Either that or the place just had an odd feel due to no students. The 2nd half was much better than the first and thankfully so.

Go Zags!!!

me and you, bornie. scary :) right, bell was in his once every 3 or 4 games offensive funk.....and silas should have had two more but BW pulled rank as a senior and forced a layup (made it) that should have been a pass to silas two secs before.....BW has earned it....

Kevin pangos

We're starting to see Pangos assert himself aggressively when the team performance starts to lag. That IMHO is a very good, thing.

01-09-2015, 06:48 AM
I went with the Panglinator. As soon as he 'turnt up', as the kids might say, the zags never looked back and got themselves up by 30.

I wish we could vote for 2. I don't know if the POG is Karno for his inside game and passing out od the double teams, or Pangos for his passing or positioning to receive passes from the double teams.
I truly feel that it is both, Pangos and Karnowski. I think Shem got the actual vote...I tried to hit both dots and vote at the same time. LOL
