USF 62

USF just doesn't seem to have the same caliber of team that I'm used to seeing. I haven't seen them play and have just looked at their scores, and they don't look good at all. They've lost more games then they've won, and lost to BYU by 30 at home.

I'm sure the Zags are looking forward to playing at home in the Kennel. I'm sure their fans are excited to see them play again. I'm looking forward to this game because I always love to see the Zags play USF. I'm looking forward to seeing them drain those 3's, and hoping to see at least 10. K2 is going to be hot tonight and so will our shooters. Looking forward to also see PK continue to play like an All-American, and Draino play like he does. He's wonderful to watch. Pangos will probably play a secondary role in this blowout.

Go Zags!!!

I don't think this one is going to be close. I think once the Don's get down big early, their spirit will be broken. I honestly think the Zags will break 100 this game. 101-64

I predict Rex tweets that Wiltjer is too soft and wouldn't start on his team.

I also predict at some point during the game that Rex will throw something at the GU coaching staff.

I predict more exodus from the hilltop.

The game? Oh, I predict the zags win by a lot. I would love to see complete domination over the Dons with lots of minutes for the zag bench.

I honestly don't know why any student-athlete would play for a punk coach like Rex.

:clap:

Sounds like reason enough to me.

I do think we'll blow them out. Not so much b/c of where they are in their season, but b/c it's been so long since these guys have played at home, I expect them to play really hard and shoot really well in the comfy confines.

Zags; 89

How've you been NevD? Haven't seen you in a while. Your guys are off to a great start.

Up by 30 with 10 to go. Coast to an under 20 point win.

I do actually like USF's posts and hope to hear some banter from him.

"When a team shoots 60 percent on 55 shots and gets 10 offensive rebounds, I have to question how tough we are," Dons coach Rex Walters told the school's official website.

Can you tell us the score?

Just like Reborn is ("theoretically") in Japan and a day ahead, you are, too, but also, it's already mid-summer 2015 for you. You know how we did in March Madness - appreciate you not telling us yet. But, the score Thurs might be nice.

It is hard to get excited about this opponent. They are riding a three game losing streak. Their best win was against RPI 178 Hawaii. They are 1-9 against teams in the top 200 of the RPI. How did this team fall so fast following their best season in over a decade?

Because of Rex, this is the closest game this year, that I would call, personally, a grudge game. With Samham long gone, and the BYU crowd behaving almost civilized a few weeks ago, I still find it easy to dislike SF (ironic because I love the city so much). They made so much of doing well against us in their home gym a few years ago, and Rex's put downs -- will give me pleasure if we beat them. Hardly anybody to hate on anymore ....

I know! It's weird isn't it? There really isn't much to hate around here anymore beside Rex and of course randy Bennett's attitude. And I actually like randy.

I love those!

What a wonderful opportunity for the kids, too. Jeff Brown had his team down there are few weeks ago.

And, you're right. During some games, those the halftime action is followed with more interest than the 30 pt blowout before and after.

Great program.

To be fair, some of those fourth-graders play tough, physical ball.

True story: I threw my back out coaching fourth-grade YMCA league ball, last night. I tried to guard my team's best player on a rebounding drill and tweaked something. I can barely walk, this morning.

Coach Few, if you are reading this, you might want to come scout this really talented nine year-old who plays for the Central Lincoln County Y. Establish a relationship with him before the ACC schools find him.

Good Morning ZagNation: It's game day, and there's no day like it. The week has gone much quicker this week because we're playing Thursday. thank God. Last week seemed so long. I can hardly wait for the game to start because I love watching the Zags play. Game time is early tonight and I like that much better also. I'm looking forward to how much better the Zags play at home. I think we're going to see a big difference. It's been a long time since they've played a game in the Kennel. I am hoping the Zags work hard on D and play as a team on the Offensive end. Let's see great passing. That's how we play best, with lots of assists.

I boldly predict:

- Monster dunks by Sabonis, Karno and Griffin;

- Only one T for Rexwall, but he whines in post-game comments that it'd be nice if he could just get a little love and support from the refs, SF alumni, older Zag fans, small children and/or random strangers -- at least during free throw attempts;

- Karno hits all of his free throws;

- Tacos;

- Free beer at hondo's; (Wait... Is this for Saturday? I really only heard the "free beer at hondo's" part)

- Francis the Goat twerks on the USF bus just before it drives away.

Big Dogs - 95
Little Dons - 59
