It was nice to see the traditional blue road uniforms again in the Portland game. I was beginning to forget what they looked like.

My favorite color too.

One reason I prefer them is that is the color of most of my Zag gear. It is just the "Zag Look" IMO.

Not sure of the context of these or the vintage. . .they were on a Pinterest site that popped up after a Google Search for "Gonzaga Basketball Red Uniforms"

There were two - one that had a slightly brick-red color, and later ones that had an orangey-red.

The former looked good, the latter looked awful, and both got a quick reputation as jinxed...

Terrible!

Yep.

I like them actually a little less than last year's Notre Dame ones and a couple other schools with similar ones. Which says something.

I think returning to the Royal Blue unis for a game or two - "throwback" so to speak would be fun.

God, I hope I never see those uniforms actually be worn by GU. Hopefully just a phantasm on some designers's sketch pad on a slow day.

In '99 during our run to the Elite Eight, what colour were GU's uniforms???

Zags were the lower seeded team (#10) in all of their games so they wore their road blues. . .

The red and grey are sweet.

The blue could lose the Bulldog on the front. I am all for retro uni's , new age uni's, colors that are not necessarily our school colors (the horror!!!)

Players love these things, anything that can make a recruit have even a little more intrigue into GU the better. The level of angst that some fans have towards what type of uni GU wears is hilarious

Still my favorite Gonzaga photo.

I don't care what color the Uniforms are, as long as the players like them. :)

You are correct. http://www.charlessollarsconcepts.com/charles-sollars-concepts/. I wonder if he shares a basement apartment with Francis?

I'd love to see those '99 unis come back as well - even if just for a game or two. Maybe wear them and play a special game in Martin Centre. And even though I think our current unis are awesome, I don't think "GONZAGA" ever looked as good as it did on those of the late 90s. Bring back that font.

I'm looking to buy a red jersey for my collection cause I missed them when they were on sale 8, 9 years ago. Anyone got an old one they wanna sell? Slim pickings online. Did find this one - http://www.ebay.com/itm/Nice-GONZAGA-ANDREW-SORENSON-Red-11-Basketball-Jersey-Size-48-XL-NIKE-/141525087264?pt=US_NCAA_Fan_Shop&hash=item20f38d7420. But it looks like hell and it's got a name on it.

I assume the long compression pants are for hamstring problems. Sort of like nurses who wear orthopedic stockings when they have to be on their feet for long hours. If it prevents cramps or pulled muscles, I don't have a problem with it. Plus, white is pretty neutral anyway.

They also help you stay warm on the bench. I don't know about you guys, but when I jog when the weathers cold (even if I'm indoors) my knees get extremely painful and tender. When I wear my compression pants it almost completely mitigates the problem. They are pretty neat.

I own a pair for skiing and believe they do help. Stefan Moody should have had a pair on against Kentucky and things could have been different!

Leg cramps left Moody sitting on the floor early in OT after being fouled on a 3-point attempt and needing help getting to the bench for treatment. M.J. Rhett (http://www.cbssports.com/collegebasketball/players/playerpage/1780837/mj-rhett) took his place at the line and made just one of three shots.
''If (Stefan) Moody doesn't cramp up, we probably lose the game,'' Calipari said. ''He was just ridiculous. We couldn't do anything with him.''
