Coughing up a big lead was troublesome but in the end, the Zags' talent was better than the Bailey-less Pilots.

We saw Karnowski make his first three pointer and we saw Gary Bell, Jr. reach double figures.

Which Bulldog gets your vote as the player of the game ?

STATS (http://stats.statbroadcast.com/statmonitr/?id=73138&a=1)

I went with Mr. Karnowski. The Dude is a BEAST and he gets better and better with each game.

Have to split it between Karnowski and Pangos. Both were huge, especially in the 2nd half. Without their combined contributions the big lead might've turned into a L.

Karnowski, he was huge tonight. Did everything well and even made a three. Pangos a close second, Mr. Clutch.

KARNOWSKI!! Wow, great game for Shem. When he was not on the floor Van der Mars had his way more so.

I give it to Karnowski for dominating this game down the stretch when Gonzaga needed someone to step up. That said I have to give Bell another shout out for playing outstanding defense. Portland made their run when he was on the bench after picking up foul #4.

Karno is about the only choice.

I strongly disagree. KP had a really good game. Hit some 3's in the 2nd half, sealed it with FT's, that drive and dish to Karno that resulted in an And-1 was huge. Nice to have a Sr. PG doing what the team needs for a W.

He had a really nice offensive game in the 1st half. Barely played in the 2nd half due to fouls.

pangos made i think the last 8 points and was mr. clutch once again in crunch time.............but my vote is karnowski, could well have been his best game yet.

You almost have to give it to Shem for the three alone and I did, but I gotta say: when the game is on the line Kevin Pangos is incredible!!!!

Karno and Pangos had great games but went with Bell for his defense.

I strongly say that you might be right.

I shouldn't have phrased it that way, I should have followed it with, "Karno is about the only choice, for me."

Kevin played very well.

It was probably Kevin, but Shem was more fun ...I am sure his parents were very proud of him....I am...

van der Mars did score against him more than I would have liked, but mostly on hooks that he could not defend against.

I strongly agree Karno is worthy of getting the nod. I didn't vote but in my mind I give PK and KP co-player of the game.

I went with Kevin. Karno had a very good game offensively, but I thought his defense and rebounding were below average for him.

Karno! The "3", the step through for two, the two handed jam,the deflection/strip with 1:08 in the 2nd. All the above in the last 8 mins I think.

Easy one for me, Karnowski. Portland made their run while he was on the bench and the run promptly stopped when he came back in.the offense just doesn't seem as rushed when he's in for the last several games. Not to mention his 3. The dogs probably thought there was something seriously wrong when he hit that from me hollering so much.

I voted for Pangos. He closed it out when they were on the verge of losing. His confidence settled the whole team down.

Kudos to Shem and Gary who had so much grit during the entire game.

Sabonis got two critical rebounds late. I loved his smile after PK's tremendous three.

I voted for Karnowski, but Pangos deserved it as much as the big K. I had to make a choice.

Agree, Bell looked primed to have a big game sans the fouls.

Karno's taken the next step.

Go ZAGS!

Have to go with the big man who can take a basket closest to the floor.

Does this mean that Karno's 3-pt shooting - at 100% - is technically best on the team?

Does anyone suspect that competition in practice with the other bigs has been a continuing factor in Karnowski's progress ?

I'd say you're spot on in that suspicion. I haven't seen any practices but I have watched shootarounds before home games. Shem & Domas like to have some friendly competition from beyond the arc. That alone looks to have born fruit. I loved that shot and make last night. Voted for Shem and the 3 was the decider. Kevin was super but I had to vote for Shem.
Good game. It is nice to see Portland play well - and the Zags still beat them.

I did go with Karno, but agree. Looking at the stats did make me rethink a little. KP had a very solid and unselfish game.
