We do have an opponent for tomorrow. I see nothing posted.

SEATTLE The Cal Poly men's basketball team continues its five-game, 12-day road trip the program's lengthiest road trip in 35 seasons when squaring off against No. 8 Gonzaga in the 2014 Battle in Seattle on Saturday, Dec. 20. Tip time inside KeyArena is 7 p.m. with action televised on Root Sports. Cal Poly (5-4) improved to 2-1 during its road travels by overturning a 14-point halftime deficit to defeat Northeastern, 60-58 (Dec. 17). One of the nation's most efficient squads, Cal Poly enters the 12th edition of the Battle in Seattle leading all 345 Division I programs in fewest turnovers per game (7.1) and ranked 11th in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.5-to-1). Cal Poly, which will go 35 days between home games inside Mott Athletics Center, seeks its seventh victory in a neutral-site game in the last nine outings. Cal Poly owns just one victory against a ranked opponent in 21 Division I seasons. That historic triumph was a 70-68 win at then-No. 11 UCLA on Nov. 25, 2014. Eighth-ranked Gonzaga (10-1), which reached the NCAA Tournament third round last season, enters Saturday's matchup on a five-day break following a 94-54 home triumph against Texas Southern (Dec. 15).

Leading Scorer is 6'4, David Nwaba @ 14.4 ppg, he doesn't shoot 3s.

All Around best big: 6'9 Brian Bennett @ 12 ppg and 7 rbg.

They seem to be an awful 3pt shooting team with only one player averaging over .333, and that is Kyle Toth at .387, but he only gets 18 min pg. Therefore, expect them to shoot 10 of 16 from 3 against us.

Not a lot of info but they did walk their green asps into USF and kick the human highlighter spill around, which is always nice.

Not much buzz about this game. Even on this Board. Everyone has mailed in a "W" and gone on Christmas break. I'm going to the game and taking some Cal Poly friends. Will be interesting to see what attendance is like at the Key.

Three things worry me about this game. 1) they don't turn the ball over very much. 2) the guys have had 5 days off going into an unfamiliar gym. 3) the guys MAY BE looking forward to the holidays a little too much.
Hopefully our Zags can figure out a way to get/stay focused on the task at hand.

I feel safe to say, GU will cover.

I mean I'll watch it, but it's like playin S Alabama last year. Not good. Please get a good opponent next year

Well I will give Cal Poly credit, this team came to play tonight, definitely not afraid of GU. The last year we played in the BIS vs S Alabama I believe? We played pretty poorly as well. We have had some head scratching turnovers tonight due to pressure, Wiltjer, Pangos, Dranginis you name it, we are are hand wrapping the ball and dishing it off to them. Maybe we just play to the level of our opponents, idk just venting.

In the WCC this year we will see many games like this, and is the reason I believe we don't run the table like some may think. SMC beat this team by 26 points. BYU and SMC will be tougher IMO than Cal Poly.

Nonetheless, we still have a ton we can improve on, we are getting out hustled tonight. Cal Poly is a gritty team and very disciplined.

well, Izzo and MSU found out Texas Southern wasn't such a pushover. Cal Poly had some decent players, were well coached, and played hard. If they had hit some threes?, it might have gotten even closer. There are no easy games when your Uni's say Gonzaga. Everyone gives you their best shot.

Cal Poly knocked off San Francisco. . .can see the why and how of that now. They are a sturdy pesky ball club. If they can get some offense from the perimeter they will raise hell in their conference,, David Nwaba is one tough baller
