Great move by Few. Letting them get a little run with the first team perimeter players.

At the halftime interview, Coach Lloyd said the start for Sabonis was a bit of a reward and getting Angel in early was a desire to make sure he continues to develop, that Angel is a key guy to their team.

Not many teams can start their 3rd and 4th big men and still have that kind of production in the first 4 minutes of the game. Mostly because most starting guards wouldn't have enough faith in backup players. Not the case tonight. Very very happy to see them get rewarded.

Develop is right.

Angel had a couple moves at the start of the game where in the (not too distant) past he would just put his head down, drive the lane & punt the ball into the stands. Tonight a couple of times you could see him start to do that, catch himself & dish for an easy bucket. He played terrific tonight.

It was also good to see Melson get as many minutes as he did last night.

Maybe it's Few's homage to Crookapari's two platoons.....:)

Wasn't around last night, but totally agreed. Love having them get minutes with the top backcourt, and seeing Melson and Dranginis get significant PT as well. We'll need to get everyone their development, as they'll all have chances to shine, plus we get rest for our starters who will need it.
