How does UCLA look? I don't get the Pac 12 Network. Anyone think they could give GU some serious problems on Saturday night?

LOS ANGELES -- Bryce Alford scored 22 points and UCLA held off San Diego 75-68 Sunday night for the Bruins' sixth straight victory at home.

The Bruins (7-2) have won those games by an average of 21.6 points, although the Toreros provided UCLA's closest game yet at Pauley Pavilion. San Diego led at halftime, by four early in the second half and tied it up twice before the Bruins gradually took control.

Freshman Kevon Looney added 18 points and 11 rebounds, his sixth double-double in nine games.

Johnny Dee scored 22 points and Brandon Perry added 16 for the Toreros (4-5), who were coming off a 57-58 loss at No. 13 San Diego State on Thursday.

UCLA stretched its lead to nine twice, both times on baskets by Alford. The Toreros cut it to 59-54 on a 3-pointer by Chris Anderson.

SDSU shot 20% from the field and 12/21 from the FT line. . .wow.

SEATTLE -- Nigel Williams-Goss scored 15 points, and Washington held No. 13 San Diego State to a school record for fewest points in the Huskies' 49-36 win on Sunday.

Andrew Andrews added 13 points as Washington (7-0) posted just its second win over a ranked opponent since 2011.

San Diego State (6-2) shot just 20.4 percent. It was the lowest shooting percentage for the Aztecs dating to 1996 and the second time this season shooting under 25 percent in a game. San Diego State shot 24.6 percent in beating Cal State Bakersfield last month.
The 36 points were the fewest for San Diego State as a Division I program. The previous low was 38 against Utah in 1999.

Andrews hit three 3-pointers in the second half as Washington methodically pulled away. Andrews' third 3 of the half put the Huskies up 43-23 with 6:25 remaining.

The matchup was a chance for Washington to prove its undefeated start wasn't a fluke. Washington improved to 7-0 for the first time since the 2006-07 season and has one major test remaining before the start of Pac-12 play: a Dec. 20 matchup with Oklahoma in Las Vegas.

Just got back from the game. Few things stand out:

1. Washington is pretty solid and headed for the Top 25. They are not great offensively, but Goss and Andrews are pretty good players and the team as a whole is really tough defensively. Upshaw changes the game for them on the Defensive End. They destroyed SDSU!

2. SDSU....literally can not score. Big, physical, defensive basketball team that has 1/2 of an offensive weapon and no one that can score on the perimeter. 7-41 from the field when I left with about 2 min to play.

3. Remember Malik Pope.......HE"S 6'10" tall. Unfortunately, they don't know what to do with him cause he plays like a 2. Also, have Cheathem, Trey Kell, and another former must get for us, can't remember his name. They were all really underwhelming and I can't believe anyone thinks they are a Top 20 team. If there isn't 50 teams better in college basketball we have a sad state of affairs on our hands.

Good summary. But SDSU can score, as was shown when they played AZ in Maui. I'm thinking SDSU was looking a bit past UW. And of course UW usually plays well at home.

They must have been looking past San Diego too. San Diego will once again be really tough at home FOR THE ZAGS. They ALWAYS are.
