If USF beat Colorado, that would be a big victory.

On the AZ website, they believe that outside of GU, their 2 toughest games of the year are away at Utah and Colorado.

All well and good.

The Zags should be thinking about two teams. One, the Zags, and two, the Arizona Wildcats.

The Buffs lost their NBA talent level point guard, who played Marcus Smart as close to straight up as possible when they played. They return one of the top big men in the nation with Josh Scott though, and all the talented freshmen have become more reliable sophomores. We'll see how good the Buffs end up, but they should be considered a bit out of the top 25 range. Probably top 40 though, but we'll see. The toughest part of the Utah and CU games for Pac 12 teams is that you're playing at altitude which makes recovery times take longer after a couple days, and they also tend to be longer travel for all the other teams.

I think the 3/23/13 NCAA tourney loss to the Shockers carries with it a certain residual animus towards them.

But I'm just speculating. . .

Baker is a helluva baller and you would be glad to have him on your side. I used to feel and say the same things about McConnell and Dellavedova.
VanVleet had ice water in his veins when it came to crunch time, especially after having such a poor night shooting.

I DISLIKED them too, back in March of 2013.

Watching them is like watching a mirror image of some of the Zags teams in the past. I love watching Wichita State play - hope nothing but the best for them, especially against teams like Utah, or anyone else from the Big 6. I'll pull for WS in any game except one against the Bulldogs of Gonzaga. :)

(also, going back to Ron Baker...is there any way we could convince him to transfer to GU? I love his game. love love love.)

Re Baker to GU, from what I recall he and KP are buddies, spent some time together this summer at basketball events.....

If you're referring to Spencer Dinwiddie, Colorado played most of the year without him last year. Askia Booker is a good guard in his own right. Colorado isn't a great team, but they have some talent and Boulder is a tough place to play. They'll finish in the top half of the Pac 12 and maybe even fight for a top 2 or 3 finish.

we say this because it is probably a sin to hate somebody just because they beat us fair and square,
but even if we don't say or act out anything bad about them we are still not off the hook.
When we have these 'sinful feelings', the gods above see through us, and we must face the consequences.
Personally l like it when mid majors beat anybody from the BCS schools, other factors equal

USD loses by 9 but battles. They shoot 6 FT's, SDSt. shoots 27.

Pep beats CS Northridge @ home by 10. An announced crowd of 1511.

Sac State loses to Abilene Christian on the road. That's a bad loss.
