Tim Hardaway's comments " ..I hate ### people.." will become famous. Remember the day Feb 14th, 2007. Was it right or wrong? Freedom of expression??

Hardaways comments are absolutely wrong and are unfortunate.

The larger issue is already under thoughtful discussion here:

The comments were idiotic. Full stop.

Freedom of speech? Of course he has the right to say what he wants. But we also have the right to label him (1) ignorant, (2) pompous, and (3) not worth our future attention.

I find it interesting that Hardaway later apologized for his remark. It seems he wants the freedom to express himself and fears the accountability and possible consequences after he has.

Tim has given a new definition to his famous "UTEP Two Step" crossover. Unfortunate move on his part. . .

Hardaway should not be allowed to speak period, even about basketball. He contributes nothing.

Hardaway's comments were completely outrageous and intolerant. There is no problem with freedom of expression but that isn't an excuse for him to be a complete bigot.

I thought it odd he later went on to play the race card.
