Netscouts report (http://netscoutsbasketball.com/blog/barhams-21-paces-usa-in-opening-game-of-china-tour/):

Putian, China - Through the hot and humid air inside the Putian Arena, the NetScouts Basketball USA All-Stars pulled out a 97-87 perspiration filled victory over the CBO team from Putian, Fujian. The game, delayed 30 minutes to wait for the local dignitaries and officials to arrive, started out with a flurry of three-point shots and a 7-0 run by the home team.

Team USA faltered early, but quickly recovered with the help of Drew Barham (Gonzaga) who scored a team high 21 points tonight. Greg Howard (ABA) also chipped in 17, while Kevin Kotzur (Santa Cruz D-League) had a strong showing, posting the only double-double of the game with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Guards Kiwi Gardner (Santa Crua D-League 8 points) and Darren Moore (Cal-Irvine 11 points), shared the team high with four assists each.
The USA team will depart its hotel late tomorrow morning to transfer to Quanzhou, were it will begin the first game in a best of 3 series against the Chinese National team. Tomorrow marks the end of a back to back game set, before transferring to another city for one more back to back set Friday and Saturday, Aug 8th and 9th.

Isn't it amazing that a player many found to be in the middle of gonzaga players scores 21. He looked really aggressive in the summer workouts.

Another good game for Drew (http://netscoutsbasketball.com/blog/usa-all-stars-outlast-china-98-96/):
Quanzhou, China – A hot start and solid team play helped the NetScouts Basketball USA All-Stars edge the Chinese National Team 98-96 in regulation.

Drew Barham (Gonzaga) 15 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists
The USA spread the ball well as Greg Howard (17), Drew Barham (15), Anthony Jones (15), Kiwi Gardner (14) and Tom Granado (13) all scored in double figures. In the end the USA team held on and had several huge baskets down the stretch to take the first win in the series.

Barham put back a huge shot with less than a minute remaining to put the USA up by three, 94-91.
Tomorrow is a travel day to Laizhou, Shandong. The next game against China will be on August 8th local time.
