This was a TOUGH vote for me....ugh. I gave it to the '13 squad because of ONE player....the wildcard...one of the most important players we've had on a GU squad...and one of my favorites all time!

For me... Hart was the deciding factor.

Mike Hart?

For me... Hart was the deciding factor.

Hart is going to be one of those 'hard to explain' players here in about 10-15 years. There's gonna be some young kid that comes to the board, and he will have NO idea who Hart was, and he will look at his stats and argue that Hart was a non-factor or something. You just can't explain the BEAUTY of Mike Hart...you could only witness it and be in awe! Man I miss that guy.

This was tough for me as well. Had to go with 12-13.

When I looked on the schedule for the first time, and saw The Old Spice Classic, Home against West Virginia, @Washington State, and the gauntlet of the Big XII, I would have told you we would have lost at LEAST one game. But we won them all. It wasn't easy, but that team got it done. First time ever we went 9-0 to start the season.

What a ride that team was.

He was so great. And one of those guys that will live in Gonzaga lore forever. Started as a walk on, and didn't even know if he would even get to play organized basketball again. Then he becomes a very vital part of the #1 team in the country. Remarkable.

Hart over Spink? I went with the fifth starter on each team and the better bench. '13 advances.

Hart is probably the only player that could bring an entire crowd to it's feet for 2 offensive rebounds in a possession.

I still get shivers thinking about that...

I went with 12-13 by a hair... It's hard to vote against Santangelo/Calvary though.

I am remember it as 3 rebounds, Mr. ID remembers 4.

I voted old school success over new school underachieving. I do think the more recent team was more talented overall and I think we play anyone but Wichita State we go to at least the Elite 8...but results are results..lol

I don't know about that. I think if Gary Bell doesn't break his foot, we still easily defeat Wichita State. We were up a comfortable margin even with minutes to play...

Completely agree with this. Losing the best perimeter defender opened the floodgates for the threes that started raining.

I don't remember it raining.....I remember something that moreso resembles the storm before Noah pushed away in his Ark.
