Josh once again (I put him as top scorer as well).

He's already shown glimpses of how he can dominate on the boards. If he brings "it" he's going to be the man. If not, then I see Micah leading the team in boards - he seems to have a nose for them- and with some more body strength, hell be able to pull down even more.
There's no such thing as "garbage time" - there's only the time to crush your enemies, to see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women.

That is what is best about being a Zag.

btw, no matter how balance you may or may not think the rebounding will be - there's a 99.99% chance that someone will end up with more rpg than everyone else. so pick one person!

If Josh isn't the leading rebounder, something is either horribly wrong (i.e. he plays terribly) or really really good (Will or Sacre make a huge leap, probably not likely).

Josh easily led the team last year in this stat. Part of this was due to the lack of overall size GU had last year. Since GU will be a lot bigger this year Josh will probably be allowed to play outside more often - reducing his rebounding opportunities. So while Josh is a good pick here, I'm going to take a guess and say that another big that plays inside more will have the most boards...

          how about Davis...

Even given that fact, I still think it will be Heytvelt by a pretty fair margin.

FWIW, according to the above link...

Theo @ the World University Games:

Rebounds per game 8.71 (3rd in tournament - not just Team Canada - the whole thing)

On the other hand, last year - Josh had 7.7 rpg

                The next closest (returning) were:

                Kuso - 4.6
                Pendo - 4.4
                Pargo - 4.3

While this is true on the offensive end it's not on the defensive side where he gets 95% of his rebounds.

Also, I think the other "big" position will be filled by committee, or split-time.

While 95% is a bit overboard, these are both good points...

I voted for Kuso. The caveat is he'll be a starter. If not, all bets are off. But, he does have the tools to be the best rebounder on the team.

Judging by the results so far...

GU fans are high on Josh.

                              Reborn,

I've heard through the grapevine that you may have been a fairly decent rebounder in your day?

                              BTW - Good thread, huh!?!?
