Another post about the players (http://m.sltrib.com/sltrib/mobile3/57963863-219/iframe-season-team-2014.html.csp) working out for the Jazz tomorrow includes a great Youtube video of highlights from Sam's season. (http://youtu.be/mjC9aZOTK_U)

I also noted this post indicating Sam has hired the Wasserman group as his agents (http://www.wmgllc.com/wasserman-announces-2014-nba-draft-class/):

Wasserman announced the agency’s 2014 NBA Draft class in this week’s issue of SportsBusiness Journal.

The class features UCLA guard/forward Kyle Anderson, Canisius guard Billy Baron, Wisconsin guard Benjamin Brust, Arizona State guard Jahii Carson, Serbia’a Partizan Belgrade guard Bogdan Bogdanovic, Gonzaga forward/center Sam Dower, Kansas center Joel Embiid, Syracuse forward Jerami Grant, Iowa guard Roy Devyn Marble, USC center Omar Oraby, Duke forward Jabari Parker, Utah State center Jarred Shaw and Oklahoma State guard Marcus Smart.

Agents BJ Armstrong, Arn Tellem, Lee Melchionni, Thad Foucher, Greg Lawrence, Josh Ketroser, Darren Matsubara, James Dunleavy and Francois Nyam will represent the 13 players.

The NBA Draft takes play on June 26th in New York City.
I think Arn Tellem was KO's agent last year.

Utah Jazz: Gonzaga’s Dower among latest prospects to work out

If Sam Dower Jr. walked into the Marriott Center right now, like he has so many times before with Gonzaga over the last few years, BYU fans would hardly recognize him.

Gone is the chubby frame that hindered him when he was a Bulldog. Gone is 20 pounds of weight, replaced by a sleek frame and actual muscle definition in his arms and torso.

Dower worked out for the Utah Jazz on Tuesday morning, and he treated his return to Salt Lake City like a professional. He shot the ball extremely well from the perimeter, showed refined skills in the post, and athleticism that had been lacking during his collegiate career.

"I’ve been working out since the end of the season," Dower said. "Just getting a workout in everyday and trying to eat the right things. It’s worked."

Dower knew what to expect, coming in. He’s been teammates with David Stockton — the son of John — over the last four years. He knew he was expected to work hard and to "bring a lunchpail."

While impressed with Dower’s morning and overall workout, Jazz VP of Player Personnel Walt Perrin still had questions. Noting the weight loss, he wondered why players wait until the draft process to get into top shape? Why aren’t they in shape during the college basketball season?

"It’s a concern of ours," Perrin said. "I thought Sam played well, and I thought he showed some good things. He still has a long way to go, but he played well."

Interesting.... I didn't view Sam as overweight during the season ...

He looked in very good shape last season, and it showed in his improved rebounding and D. Earlier in his career, maybe. Sometimes it seems like these guys just make stuff up to fill some column inches and maybe create drama where none exists.

I remember Calvary at a workout and one of the coaches expressed surprise that he could shoot 3's. He shot over 40% if memory serves his sr year, and someone who brought him in for a workout thought all he could do is dunk. I guess they look at a lot of players and don't really have detailed info on all of them
