Can't you just say no on #3? The only thing worse than following a crappy team is following a crappy team whose season is way over 100 games.

I must suffer until a championship arises or suffer forever. The hawks finally won.

Oh man, you are going to be suffering for a long time (with the M's). Yeah the Hawks made a lot of football fans very happy that have been waiting for quite some time.

My dad raised me as a Cubs fan but I finally wised up and completely gave up on the sport of baseball. I haven't missed it one bit.

I have to admit, I've been seeing references to francis today and I'm clueless on that one. Care to enlighten me?

On #3, try being a Met fan... at least with the M's you kinda go into some seasons expecting little. With the Mets... they spend money and underachieve.... then rebuild... then spend money and underachieve.... then rebuild...

I think you get the idea.

The Mets could field a team of superstars and struggle to hit 90 wins... just sayin'.

Why must you suffer with the Mariners? Are you over 65? Its a dying sport. Check out the 2nd best pro team in Seattle: http://www.soundersfc.com/

OK please tell me.........What is so exciting about watching Soccer? I played as a youth and loved playing but could never understand why people would watch this sport unless they have a kid playing. Is it about singing chants and drinking in bars before games and not really about watching 1-0 games in the cold rain?

A dying sport that just paid a second baseman that can hit 250 million dollars. How much is the sounders franchise worth?

Seattle is the most valuable MLS franchise, according to Forbes. The business magazine estimates the Sounders’ worth at $175 million (108.3 million) — some $5 million (3.1 million) more than the second-placed L.A. Galaxy.

Oh, I thought it must be something much deeper than that. I googled "francis" and "goat" and got a picture of the Pope with a little critter sitting on top of his shoulders, thought maybe it was some kind of superstition for lifting a curse from a long underachieving sports franchise. It was late at night though when these thoughts were swirling around in my head.

There are three thousand seven hundred and fifty reasons I am sad after the first weekend of the NCAAs.

But I am hoping to get happy again soon. Louisville giving KY 5 points seems awfully generous.

Go Bulldogs!

They play in front of a stadium with 12 people in them. All the money comes from TV contracts and the fact that they can sell hip replacements to the viewers on the 42 commercial breaks during the game.

I'd much rather watch a 1-0 game in the rain then the same guy grab his crotch and spit every 5 seconds since they can't play in the rain.

Baseball is a lot more fun. They dont' play in the rain because of all the REAL injuries that could happen.

Soccer: They wuss around, or fall down and wuss out in the game because they got tripped, and then grab their knee and say they are in "serious pain" ...

Lol. I played soccer and baseball and gave my body up the same way. Every game is freaking game 7.
