Draino with a broken nose?

“I didn’t tell anybody but it happened in practice a couple days ago,” the Bulldogs guard explained. “I wanted to play and didn’t want to wear a mask or anything.”

A couple of TV shots of Shem made me think he has the remnants of a shiner on his right eye too. Tough squad these Zags.

Bud Withers (http://seattletimes.com/html/gonzaga/2023193963_withersgonzaga22xml.html)

"Not that your bracket wasn’t hemorrhaging anyway, but Gonzaga likely bruised it a little more here Friday. Along with those of Jay Bilas, Digger Phelps, Seth Davis and just about any other talking head who weighed in on the Zags’ first-game NCAA matchup with Oklahoma State."

General comment about post-OSU game media...specifically CBS's coverage after the game:

They are still talking more about OSU than about the Zags. Feed the Underdog!!!

Good articles, thanks!

I too noticed about Draino's nose. Wow, what a tough cookie. I broke my nose once, not sure I wanted to due much right after, let alone play against a team like brutal OkSt!

Zags happy to show off black eye after winning this scrap.

I hope everyone enjoys reading about the Zags the morning after--because there's more to come!

Besides the comics, Blanchette is the only reason to subscribe to the Spokesman-Review.

Would "hack a pole" been OK?

I think that is what he meant to say and a freudian slip occurred. But Hack-A-Shem would have been sufficient.

BTW, OSU can't really complain about all the fouls as much as they are. They started deliberately fouling at the 4 minute mark.
