This is a big game for Dayton in more ways than one. They have supposedly tried to get OSU to schedule them for years and years, and the Buckeyes have refused to play them. Now the Buckeyes can't escape the Flyers. Dayton has extra motivation in this game.

Admittedly, I don't have the inside scoop. From a fan perspective, one would think that the Buckeyes should play Dayton, Akron, Ohio U., Cincy, etc. ... It just seems to make sense.

But then you look at our own schedule with no Huskies or Seattle U ... sporadic only games against our long time regional rivals Idaho, Montana (s), etc. We've let some of those series "fade away", while in other cases there's some more to it.

Anyway ... I'm glad Dayton gets this chance ( and I hope they win ) , but I can see the OSU side of things as well.

Haven't Cincinnati and Ohio St. refused to play each other (or one of them has refused) ever since meeting in the Final 4 in the 60's back in Oscar Robertson's days? Dayton and Columbus are about an hour apart. Would be an easy road trip. Cincy and Xavier have their bitter rivalry series. Xavier and Dayton were in the A-10 together but no more.

Ohio is a state that is just packed full of colleges. My bro lives in Dayton, when you drive around that area there are schools everywhere.

By beating a lower seeded BYU missing one if it's top 2 players?

By playing good ball. A #6 and a #5 have already been sent packing. Upsets happen. Anyway 7-10 games are almost the same as the 8-9 games, kind of a toss-up.

Colorado laid the biggest egg of the Tourney so far, but Oregon showing maybe those overrated Pac 12 teams can play some ball?

Colorado was, in my mind, the weakest P12 team in the tourney - and that matchup was horrrrrible for them! Oregon can beat just about anyone when they play well.

AZ and UCLA will definitely be playing some ball out there.

Payne scoring again down the stretch, just broke the school record for points in a Tourney game. Greg Kelser was the previous record holder, that's stood for a few years. 37 and counting. 15-15 from the FT line, Sam Dower approves of that stat line.

Pretty common sight, site wise. Basically the tourney has become a studio show. Can't imagine what can be done, certainly not playing in home gyms of higher seeds, as the NIT does. Funny thing is the next three rounds aren't a lot better. Only the FF, which is a destination corporate event, fills the house.

Yeah, I would extend that to the other sites this year as well. Milwaukee? Buffalo? I can't imagine having that conversation, "Hey honey, I booked us a trip to Milwaukee in March to watch a few games live? What do you think?". Especially when the other options are San Diego (Where are they playing in San Diego?), San Antonio, and Orlando. If you know a poor Nati fan who was watching their game live at the Spokane Arena, perhaps you can suggest a campus tour at GU followed by dinner and drinks at The Steam Plant Grill.

Barkley called that Bizon win the first real upset saying the better team didn't win. I totally disagree with that. I saw them beat Notre Dame in South Bend and they looked tough then. I think they could hold their own in a bigger conference. They can play with the physical teams. Unfortunately, I took them off the win in my bracket mainly because I already had too many upsets picked. It looked and sounded like the crowd in Spokane adopted them too.
