Not to be crude about it, but Ill say what everyone knows and wants to say, the kid has balls. Period.

agree, have said that before about him. most of us have been calling him an elite competitor from near the beginning, whatever other warts may have also been included in the analysis. if he can get out early and deliver body blows to the OKST psyche like he's been doing lately it could go a long way in determining things. The team has seemed to play better as David and Sam have done their thing together early, setting the table of confidence for the Zags to feast on

thanks for posting the article!

"With Kevin Pangos visibly not himself after suffering an Achilles injury earlier in the year," say what?

Exactly the first thing I noticed about the article. Turf toe, not achilles tendon.

His Achilles is his turf toe. So it's partially correct!

Posted this afternoon on The Seattle Times website. Probably will be on front page of tomorrow's print edition. Nice read about a quintessential underestimated, tough Zag. I think the appreciation and affection for David within the Zag family will grow even more after he graduates. What an amazing story for David, Coach Few, and the Gonzaga program.

The Seattle Times has informed me that I have used up my complimentary reading and must pay to continue to read their articles. I like Withers a lot but The Seattle Times isn't that important to me.

One of the best stories in college hoops.

Listed at 5'11" - 165, is that accurate?

I really like Bud Withers. Love his articles. This one on Stockton is a beauty. He even mentions the debates here on GUBoards on whether David or Coleman should be starting. Well. Nice to know someone besides us crazies are reading the this basketball forum.

I can hardly wait to see this matchup today. David's role on the team last year is nothing like it is this year. He has certainly put his stamp on the 2013-14 Zags.

Go Zags!!!

Here's another from today's Oklahoman

Growing up the son of John Stockton, when did you realize that people knew about your dad and your family?

I went to all the games as a little kid in Salt Lake, all the home games, and just thought thatís what everybodyís dad did. As I grew up, I saw that what he did was so incredible and how he was treated off the court was incredible. Youíre just kind of immersed in the stardom a little bit as kids, and he did a good job of trying to shelter us from that.
