Not a whole lot as it's not a huge game. But it's big for GU to get back into the W column and keep their streak against Pepperdine in intact.

The Gonzaga Bulldogs sit at 27-4. They are nicely perched on top of the WCC with an 11-1 record. Each time this team has had any sort of adversity in front of it, they have responded nicely. Remember the first litmus test against Dayton? The Zags rolled through the rest of the non-conference slate with authority, including good wins over Arkansas, New Mexico State and West Virginia. Remember the loss to Kansas State and the injury to Gary Bell and Sam Dower? The Zags put together four very solid wins with half of their starting lineup missing. Remember the loss to Portland (I don't -- it is forever blacked out of my memory)? The Zags took care of business, as ugly as possible, but they took care of it.

The longest current winning streak Gonzaga has against any team is 25, and that
streak will be on the line Thursday in the McCarthey Athletic Center when Pepperdine visits. The Bulldogs continued the streak with a
70-53 win at Malibu, Calif., in the first meeting this season. At the end of the 1993 season Gonzaga trailed Pepperdine 26-6 in
their series dating back to 1965, but the Zags enter Thursday’s game with a 45-31 lead in the series. Gonzaga has gone 39-5
in the last 17 seasons. Pepperdine’s last win was 88-79 in Malibu, Calif., on Jan. 18, 2002. Gonzaga has won 15 straight in
Spokane – nine in the McCarthey Athletic Center and six next door in the Martin Centre - since the Waves last prevailed in
Spokane 65-64 on Feb. 19, 1998
