Like "who is buried in Grant's tomb" who is the most maligned player on the team? Stockton for 21!

Great night for David. Nice to finally see Angel's debut as a Zag, Edwards and Miekle showed potential but I also considered Jennifer for MVP.

The choices could be:
Stockton
Stockton
or
Stockton

Stockton was the man tonight. He is so tough and never backs down. I loved that he had zero TO's, and 4 steals but most of all hit all his free throws.

Even though he only has a uniform and gets some PT because of who is dad is .... I'll vote him GUnit anyways .... David Stockton.

David had an awesome night!

I have been looking for what will be the X factor to make the difference for Gonzaga. Ot looks like Angel or LM could be the answer.

Stockton was the man at both ends of the court with very few errors. We needed Nunez in Wichita.

I voted Stockton. If he was taller, he could be a starter!

Too short...can't shoot outside shots...not athletic...wasn't even the best player for G-Prep...he should have walked on for a Big Sky Conference team...

Voted for David because he had a great game, not just high points. Also, great assists and no turnovers.

But, I have to give props to Kevin, too - definitely playing in pain and giving it his all.

Both David and Kevin are quintessential Zags.

Voted for DS, yet I am concerned how he will do against elite guards. Again Karno will look great against WCC teams. What is important to most Zag fans is how they will do against quality teams. BYU may be a challenge for David, but Memphis will be the big one.

Stockton for taking over when he was needed (with no turnovers!)

Nunez made a great debut. 3 blocks in 13 minutes!

somebody had to step up with Dower, bell and Pangos hurt. Stockton was amazing tonight. we do not win without him.

David was "DA Man" tonight. Wow, he really dominated on both offense plus just snatching the ball from the other team at will!!! Nice game Stocks... Also props to Kevin for toughing it out for the team and Angel for showing up ready to play in his first game as a Zag!!

Stockton was nails tonight. His dad even smiled. Angel will be fun to watch as he develops.

DS had a decent game, showed a little leadership, maybe, just maybe, if we have any scholarships available, GU might consider offering him one BUT on a contingency basis...

STOCKS! Scrappy player. I'll bet he's still grinning!
The tone/play later in the game gave me a lot of encouragement going forward for the Zags in WCC play. I also really liked what I saw from Angel, Drew, Meikle and Edwards. There's a lot to like about these Zags. Kyle steadily improves (some minor lapses but improvement overall) and I liked how PK handles himself. After getting whacked in the head PK made both free throws (maybe he should have a V8 moment before free throws :-) - I was surprised PK missed a few hooks but guess one can't make each and every one. Defense has to improve and I'm pretty confident it will. Without having a very animated coach (excepting when he doesn't like a ref's call) it's kinda hard to read Few. With how the game progressed it certainly HAD to have been well coached. SCU played well - I can't remember them playing a better game than last night's game. They moved the ball around very well and made some very tough shots. The Zags stepped up their D and it really paid off in the last 5 minutes.
The rest of this week is going to be very interesting in how Gary, Kevin and Sam play when/if on the floor. After last night's game I'm feeling much better about this team's depth. I'm particularly keen on seeing how both GC and AN fit into the rest of the season and especially how well they can play agains St.M and BYU. The Mrs. & I took the time off and got tickets to the WCC Tournament - bet it is going to be one exciting time this year.

David continues to be a fun competitor to cheer for. Bet Keating and co. still can't believe what happened down the stretch last night
