Well they know what they need to work on. And I believe they will. The season is very young for ALL THE TEAMS. Lot's of upsets this year. Overall, it seems to be a rebuilding season for NCAA basketball, and that's good for the Zags. We are still missing Edwards and Nunez...so I expect we're a long ways from being where we will be in March.
Go Zags!!! The Best Is Yet To Come!!!

        #1 in FG %! WOW!

        #253 in rebounding! WOWouch.

Seriously, I think Elias Harris is the difference between us being 253rd and 33rd in the nation. It isn't Karnos fault but every rebound we lose is another possession for our opponent.

This "stat", of course, should be considered in relationship to another; Zags are 55th in rebounds allowed to the other team at 31.4 per statsheet.com

There are fewer than the average amount of rebounds available in a Zags game, because they are not missing many shots. It would be more informative to post rebounding percentages, both offensive and defensive- a point it seems that I am having little success in communicating.

Yes, there has been a problem with giving up offensive rebounds to quick, athletic teams. But the team has a positive rebounding margin of about 2.5 so far v the number 45 ranked schedule by statsheet's ranking. They are not the 253rd best rebounding team in D1; probably around the median, give or take. It would be interesting to see where Pomeroy ranks them on both the offensive and defensive ends, if anybody knows.

They were #2 offensively and 104 defensively

Last year we ended 2 offensively, and something like 34 defensively

              Opponents can see these too

No doubt our next 5 December opponents have stat geeks on staff that will be studying these numbers. It will be interesting to see if the defensive stats come up before WCC play, and if we can maintain the offensive numbers.
