The Rangers just beat Baltimore pretty bad. Why is that so important you ask? The final score was 30-3.

And it's only the 1st game of a doubleheader!

Baltimore pitchers needed 252 pitches to record 27 outs. . .can't wait to see what some of the ERA's look like. IIRC, one of the Oriole pitchers gave up 8 earned runs in 2/3 of an inning. . .

More runs than outs.....ouch.

Baltimore went from seventh in the AL with a 4.39 ERA to 11th at 4.60.
Amazing that a team ERA can take that much of a hit in one night at this point in the season.

OK, I'll bite, 23, how do you record a save when you are up by 20+ runs?

Save Situation

A Relief Pitcher is in a Save Situation when upon entering the game with his club leading, he has the opportunity to be the finishing pitcher (and is not the winning pitcher of record at the time), and meets any one of the three following conditions:

1. he has a lead of no more than three runs and has the opportunity to pitch for at least one inning, or
2. he enters the game, regardless of the count, with the potential tying run either on base, at bat, or on deck; or
3. he pitches three or more innings regardless of the lead and the official scorer credits him with a save.

pitched a min of 3 innings

edit: Looks like AR isn't the slow poster anymore...

Interesting rule, I never knew that, I always assumed it had to be a 3 run game.

Awfully generous official scorer. . .
