A quote from GOCATS.com {http://rivalshoops.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=703332}

"Now that Gaddy has finished with his visit and having seen his two finalists Arizona and Washington over the past two weeks, he's getting ready to make a decision."

Now that was quick! Sounds like he wasn't impressed with the camp here. Nice to know before Few invests a lot of time on the kid. Geeze.

Elk Grove (Calif.) Pleasant Grove point guard Xavier Thames had a big tournament playing for Compton Magic. Teaming up with Seeley, Thames often stoked the flames of the Magic offense upon his entry. He's quick with the ball, has a solid jumper, and has a lot of energy in his game. We've always been impressed with Thames, and he looks like a player that could make a big leap as a junior.

This kid could be a sleeper, like Gibbs.

We needed to have invested time, at least a year and a half ago in solid recruiting.

For the life of me I can't figure out the fascination with Tucson. In my opinion it is without a doubt the ugliest city in America. Hot,dirty,dusty with 25 different shades of crap brown. Nothing grows there but cacti and scrub brush. Phoenix is ugly, Tucson is uglier.

I think that I should work for the chamber of commerce in Tucson. They're not even an elite team anymore.

Methinks he'll be a Wildcat unless he truly wants to stay home. I like Gaddy's game a lot but the beat will go on here. We've been down this road before with Ridnour and, even though not in-state, Jordan Farmar.

Forward.

I am extremely disappointed that a high level in-state recruit like Gaddy quickly turned his back on the Zags. Particularly given our track record and the numerous influential figures at Bellermine with connections to Gonzaga.

But I can't fault a kid for choosing Tucson over Spokane or Seattle. For a kid that has lived his entire life in a moss covered environment like Tacoma (or Seattle), going to Tucson for college must be an exciting change. And no one can seriously debate Arizona's place as an elite in college basketball.

Doesn't matter THAT much fellas. There's a lot of good guards out there. I do think how GU performs in the season and post season this upcoming year matters as to who we get. Seriously there can be only 5 guys on the floor at a time.
We've had great PG's over the years........we need one but not necessarily now. I like Gaddy as much as anyone but there's always more than one or one who can be developed. In a few years we'll need a point guard who's really designed for the position but not right now.......no emergency. Besides, we never want a kid at GU who pines for another school. It's just not worth it IMO.

I live in Tucson and am begging to see pine trees and green.

some sweet action. Our top-most limit seems to be the 4-star guys, to be in with the 5-star prospects would be unreal. I hope to some day have a program that can recruit and play at the Zags consistent level.
