According to ESPN Grant Gibbs will get another year at Creighton. The article states that coach Few was instrumental in getting the extra year, according to Creighton coach McDermott. Just one more reason you gotta love the Zags.

Any specifics? Did Few vouch for Gibbs' regarding his injured season?

It's not surprising. Coach Few was honest with Grant when the injury throw him behind and helped him find a situation that would benefit him. He worked behind the scenes I'm sure with other players whom for one reason or another?, have left the G.U. Basketball program to play elsewhere? I'm sure that the G.U. Staff and players will all be pulling for GG & Spangs to succeed anytime they aren't playing against the Zags, as will his Zag fan.

Creighton will be very good next year. With Gibbs to McDermott it seems they are set up for a very big season.

If you scroll down there are two videos. The interview with Coach McDermott is revealing. He indicated that Coach Few was part of the effor to bring GG back for his "sixth" year. I use quotes because, as many of you know he had an injury which precluded his participation after December, and Coach Few verified that for the NCAA officials.

All of my fellow Bluejay fans are ecstatic, including yours truly. Creighton's Doug McDermott's effectiveness is in part due to GG's exceptional play making. They are going to miss Gregory Echinique however, as Will Artino will need to step up big to try to fill his shoes, and that will be a stretch. Ech was a beast.

PS. I think that Coach Few's endorsement was commendable, if I didn't say so explicitly.

confirmed my suspicions. This was a class thing to do for GG.

Now, Mark, what about a game? It would make a great BIS. I promise to wear Blue for the event!
