These truths we hold to be self evident...
It does read like a concise article about the future. My only point of contention is if the Zags get a 9-11 seed, I don't see them being upset in the first 2 rounds. Haven't the Zags generally performed better with the lower seeds (the exceptions being Davidson @ davidson and the ilk)? Not even a smile? What's your problem!

When Gonzaga reached the top ranking in the nation, it saw a spike in recruitment interest and has taken this momentum into the summer.
Just because we lost early to Wichita, doesn't mean recruiting took a drop. Momentum is a big thing and when a kid follows Gonzaga for 5 months and see the growth and success, even if though we lost, they still remember all the good things they saw. Their eyes did not deceive them and only 16 teams make it past the 2nd round. So all those teams just lost their recruiting edge? New Mexico is doomed? So is Georgetown, Minnesota, Kansas St, Creighton, and UNLV... and Gonzaga? Haha. Comedy.
Some Zag fans are just plain pessimistic and wrong. I may be a pessimist, but I don't hold on to falsehoods when I get facts.“People can talk. People can speculate. These guys are hungry and they're ready to go." Mark Few

Gonzaga University...Home of the Zags...The Bulldogs. If you pronounce it "Gone Zaw Ga," they'll know you're not from here and they may charge you more for your coffee. - Garrison Keillor

I thought it was interesting in that article to compare Gerard Coleman to Steven Gray. It is true that Gonzaga has gotten little production out of the 3 spot that last couple of years (Hart, Edi, Carter, Barham, etc.), and maybe Coleman can be a big guard as a scoring threat since Bell is undersized as a 2-guard.
