For those with the stomach for it. Not unexpectedly, emphasizes the zags are overrated meme that will haunt this program until it can actually win in march.

It will be interesting to see the repercussions of this season on gu. Having once been darlings, the ascent to number one and failure to deliver will likely bring out the haters. Usually when I wear gu gear I get greetings and conversation, now I suspect it will be very different. This is a big deal for the school and the basketball program.

Yep, we had a golden paved road to the elite 8. Now Wichita will get to play a 12 seed or a 13 seed in the Sweet 16. It didn't get ANY BETTER than this opportunity.

Few reverted back to his old self. Conservative, too careful and over-thinking our leads.

When you show fear, they can see it in your eyes. As a team we had that look for 2 straight games. Few has got to change his coaching for the post season. Few has to step up his game. Period. He cannot let himself and the entire team get conservative in March.

impossible. he doesnt thnk he needs to. will never happen. hes a 26 win coach which is dang good. but his Maginot Line is the round of 32.

impossible. he doesnt thnk he needs to. will never happen. hes a 26 win coach which is dang good. but his Maginot Line is the round of 32.

The rest of the team and staff need to remind him of his "nastiness" mantra to start the season, and not allow him to curl up in his protective cocoon of conservative play and fixing things that don't need to be broken.

With Bell out, Draino filled in just fine, but Few reverts to the "safer side" and that obviously is NOT working and it never will when all the other teams are going all out in the gamble of the entire season.

He abandoned his "nastiness" mantra and he abandoned putting the pedal to the metal. He eased up to play safe and we got BIT again. No other coaches are playing conservative like he does when it is clear we need to lay it all out and never doubt the 31 games as practice for this moment. Few does not have the killer instinct and until he decides to know himself and see when he is reverting into his bad habits, others around him need to remind him when he is doing it.

Evenhanded, says we got hit by statistical outlier.

Withers blog piece. Few says gu not very athletic. Hart says "i don't know why we didn't think they would shoot it."
In game management not a strong suit of this team, in my opinion, but can see where others might disagree.

The media is going to have a field day with this. Just be prepared.

It might be in the Zags best interest to just ignore the media from now on.

BTW - where's all the Georgetown criticism? That team has lost to multiple double digit seeded teams in the past 10 years, and yet they get a free ride.

Umm... Yeah. Why didn't they think WSU would shoot it? Especially after the first half? This is mind boggling.

This is a two day story in the Media (by Wed they will have another pecking party) till tourney time next year, assuming we are in the tourney next year.

The pi$$ing and moaning will continue in here for months and then the same bipolar people will start posting the FF talk all over again.

Meanwhile the flogging will continue till morale improves.

Good one, gamagin. That article highlights something that some people seem to not realize. This loss has lasting implications far beyond our conference. Blanchette suggests a decade, which is probably about right. If I were mid majors around the country, I would not be super happy with GU.

Not much new. Wonders why no adjustment to defense after half. Schizophrenic nature of gu season, great opportunity lost.
