Gonzaga Baseball Visiting Washington State Tuesday
SPOKANE, Wash. - Gonzaga University baseball opened its 2013 home slate and West Coast Conference play last weekend against University of San Francisco at Patterson Baseball Complex and Washington Trust Field. The Bulldogs won the first two games of the series including a 14-inning thriller Friday night. The Zags attention now shifts to local rival Washington State University for its first of three games scheduled against the Cougars. WSU will host the first two games of the series (Mar. 19 and Apr. 2) and GU will host the finale (Apr. 16). The Bulldogs won two of three games played between the teams last year. Starting for the Zags will be Kenny Smith (0-0, 3.09 ERA) and his opponent is Chris McDowell (0-0, 1.29 ERA). First pitch is set for 6:00 p.m. PT.
