I really like the style the new Pepperdine coach employed last year.

With players like Tinsley, we can expect them to start sniffing the upper echelon's of the conference once again.

From what I've seen Tinsley is a perfect fit for that system.

I can't wait for SMC and Pepperdine to emerge and have great, high impact seasons on a regular basis. Nothing wrong with LMU, USD and the others also getting better.

But in my opinion you are correct. Pepperdine seems to have the right guy for the job. They're on their way back.

I sense the rivalry of 2000-2001-2002 will return to the GU-Pepp series.

Just a quick comment re the Pepperdine system, it needs great depth, something they did not have last year, in my opinion with Gallick gone they will struggle against teams with size even more than they did last year. Look for the little Canadian Kingsley Costain to have a big year as a senior (he can really shoot the lights out when he is hot) . The coach is obviously going to recruit players suited to his system , buy they are at least a couple of years away from being really competitive.
