"So you're saying we got a chance?"

A bit surprised that GU is only 67.8% on winning the WCC tournament. But I guess that's why they play the games.

Thank you for this interesting post.

Go Bulldogs!

You got to love it when GU has a 100% chance of winning in round 1 and quarters.

A little surprised to see BYU at 4.0%. Understood that is the odds for winning BOTH in the semis and finals, but still. Anything can happen. BYU has some good players and played it tight against GU at home and really was unfortunate to lose against SMC at home. Sure they took some whoopings on the road, but on a neutral court, Uber suspects their play will more resemble how they played at home than on the road.

*edited: considering BYU has to win 3, then that number might not be too far off. wondering what it will be win they win their first game.

IMO, the 100% is because the games haven't been determined yet. The only true 1st round game is Port and LMU (8/9 seeds) and the 2nd round games between USD and Pepp and the 5 seed vs the winner of the 8/9 seed game. All the teams are shown as far as is possibly predicted, so only the lowest 4 seeds have predictions all the way to the final.

Portland only has a 1 in 10,000 chance of winning the tournament.
LMU has a 3 in 10,000 chance. etc etc.

Gonzaga has a 68% chance of winning 2 consecutive games to win the championship. But we have a 91% chance of getting to the final.

The 100%s are because we've already "won" those games, by virtue of getting a bye.

You are right. I was looking one round behind thinking that the 6/7 seed game was still the first round. But they call it the 2nd round. Kinda like the round of 64 is now the new 2nd round?

I wish they would just call it the play in game. But the WCC isn't a play in game really, but the "opening round". to me opening round is what I am used to when ALL the teams play their games no matter the seeding. Like the true 64 team tournament was, and what our WCC tournament used to be.
