#14 - Abdul Gaddy
#31 - Peyton Siva
#35 - Brendan Lane
#56 - Avery Bradley
#63 - Greg Smith
#81 - Jared Cunningham
#82 - Victor Rudd

Anthony Marshall = unranked at the moment.

The staff really likes the player at #63 = Greg Smith out of Fresno. He's a true blue low post banger that's athletic and highly skilled. He's a true 5 man.

The players to follow are Smith, Cunningham and Marshall. The others are all likely headed to BCS schools or are players that GU is not really that interested in anymore. More names will come forth as time moves along....especially when it comes to wing players.

Marshall belongs in the top-100, but when playing with Babbitt, Norris and the Lithuanian kid Olzyz, you're gonna defer to them and be overshadowed.

Where's Jordan Morgan in there?

Morgan is unranked right now with Rivals, but he has a large school list with some real heavy hitters on it.

We're not in the running for Lane anymore?

It is to my understanding that Lane and Osweiler are roughly the same type of player. Smith does things Osweiler doesn't. We'll see..........

And BTW....Osweiler is shaping up to be the single most underrated player in this class. He's missed some AAU events this summer, but when he has played, he has been terrific. He keeps getting better.

I wouldn't mind having two guys like that on the team. Would you?

I wouldn't mind having both guys, but I would rather have Smith than Lane. Just like I wouldn't have wanted two JP Batista types instead of the frontcourt combo of Ronny Turiaf and JP Batista. My preference is to avoid duplication in player styles. You want to throw as many looks at opponents as possible.

Where's Jordan Morgan in there?

They only listed the top 100, but I suspect since Jordan got a late start for his AAU play this summer (due to baseball), he didn't get as much exposure as he would have had he started playing in the spring.

FWIW, Jordan has played against this kid

13 DaShonte Riley
Birmingham (MI) Country Day C 6-10/217 list
Post player who will only get better.

and definitely dominates him. Not saying that because I am biased, it's a very objective observation, to be sure.

I am not surprised...Jordan would be a huge get for the Zags.

I'd take Jordan. I like his size, reminds me of an athletic Batista. Offer him and get him to Spokane.

So what's the deal with Abdul Gaddy? Is he not the style of pg the staff is looking for? Is he a BCS kid? We discussed earlier that Bradley seems to be most interested in UW and Arizona but not Gaddy. I would love to have a 5-star Bellarmine Prep point guard join the team in 2009.

Gaddy is UW and Arizona...Bradley is UW and Texas. I believe the later of the two were the dream schools for the two, with UW being their ideal close to home schools. The staff has been going all out at Gaddy. He was on campus for our camps this summer, and doesn't seem to mutualy share the interest.

It is painful watching a top 15 ***** prospect from our own backyard not come here, but that is life sometimes. It may be harder to pull a kid from the other side of the state that it is a kid from a different state

FYI - one of the rivals guys said that morgan is unranked because they havent seen him play, not because they have and think he isnt worthy

exactly what I mentioned above... its due to exposure, definitely not lack of talent.
