Interesting Question. WCC finals come and you get to choose the team that you face in Vegas, St. Marys or BYU. Pick and explain why!

I went with BYU. Love to have one more chance to break the hearts of the fans from that institution. Let them eat NIT cake!

Don't know how much a single win over either would actually help/hurt our RPI and seeding into the tourney. Win out, and let the others high seeds drain each others blood, and we will get a 1 or 2 out west! GO ZAGS!

I really don't care. Going 3 for 3 against Dellavedova in his senior season would be pretty sweet, but Gonzaga ending BYU's season would also be some nice payback for 2 years ago. A win against either is not a given though. Don't want to count my chickens yet.

Interesting tidbit, if it's Gonzaga vs Saint Mary's in the final, it would be the 5th straight season the WCC championship has featured those two teams.

I went with BYU... I'd love to see a beat down on a neutral floor, just so there's no question.

BYU. At this point, we are an established 1 seed. We don't need a win against SMC to prove it. Odds of losing to SMC on a neutral floor ~.35. Odds of losing to BYU ~ .2.

Losing to SMC would hurt a lot more than beating BYU instead of SMC.

I voted BYU before reading any responses. Good points about the extra top 50 RPI win (maybe 3 top 50 wins in the balance - if St Mary's doesn't even make the finals, not sure they stay above 50). Still think BYU is the easier game, though.

We've had one dominating and one narrow win against both so it's hard to gauge who would be a tougher draw in the tourney, but I'll take SMC because it's more entertaining. I prefer track meets and rapid fire to fist fights and rocks.
